I've been an amateur astronomer all my life, I built my first telescope when I was 12. My main area of interest these days is planetary geology, and I have a collection of meteorites.

Nice!

I've always been interested in aeronautical engineering and space/interplanetary exploration with a lesser interest in cosmology.

Last year I bought a 5" refractor with the intention of doing some astrophotography but due to time and weather constraints as yet no success.

The extent of my planetary geology knowledge ends at the formation of the moon and whatever Curiousity digs up.

I also have a meteorite in my mineral collection.
