By musicals do you mean movie musicals or stage musicals?

I adore Music, I love Music, can't live without it
And while I love seeing movies about Music or bands, like for example Control, High Fidelity, La Bamba, ...
For some reason I don't like movie musicals...

Stage musicals I can appreciate, although I did not have had the chance yet to see one

Exactly, i meant stage musicals (okay i see the English Coversations are a little challenging yet ...^^) but there a few good (adapted) "Movie Musicals" like The Phantom of the Opera, Chigago, The Rocky Horror Picture Show...

And I love Music too a few years ago i worked as DJ so i had to know a lot of different styles and tracks i guess that was i the time i really fell in love with music =)

Musicals are great.  One of my favorites is Brigadoon.  Gene Kelly's songs are my favorite.

He's also great in Singin in the Rain.  It's cheesey as hell, but I can't help smiling.

The Sound of Music...Oklahoma:

Man of La Mancha...My Fair Lady:

...Yeah, I'm a sucker for the oldies.   :2345 :66664333

A lot of the oldies like Sound of Music and such, and then... Sweeney Todd.

And The Nightmare before Christmas...

And some weird stuff like that.

Don't get to see much in terms of Broadway shows, but I do enjoy watching movie versions of musicals.  Rent was a particular favorite of mine. Oh and how can I forget Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog!!!

I took my then girlfriend to see Sweeney Todd when it was released in the cinema, it was the first time I had ever actually wanted to see a musical, I just love blood and guts. I guess she just wanted to see Johnny Depp but she wasnt really up for seeing the blood and guts. By the end of the film it turned out I was the one who didnt enjoy it and she absolutley loved it. The strange part is I took her to see Enchanted, not my kind of film as you can probably guess, and by the end of that Id actually had a lot of fun watching it and she got bored of it barely 10 minutes in.
I became aware of my destiny: to belong to the critical minority as opposed to the unquestioning majority.

Wow, those are two of my favs too.  I grew up with Musicals thanks to my older sis and love most of them.  I am also a massive Joss Whedon fan (creator of Buffy, Firefly, Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog, etc.) so when he makes musicals it's like everything good in one.  The musical episode of Buffy was also great.

Ahem....Being the representative from Oklahoma on this site I believe it is my duty to convey the following:
Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain
And the wavin' wheat can sure smell sweet
When the wind comes right behind the rain.
Oklahoma, Ev'ry night my honey lamb and I
Sit alone and talk and watch a hawk
Makin' lazy circles in the sky.

We know we belong to the land
And the land we belong to is grand!
And when we say
Yeeow! Ayipioeeay!
We're only sayin'
You're doin' fine, Oklahoma!
Oklahoma O.K.

some of my favs have already be named such as Sweeny Todd,
i too grew up on Disney films, and it so happens my fav film is nightmare before Christmas :D
but nobody has mentioned "Into the Woods"  the best musical there is (i think)
basically what ever Bernadette Peters is in...
Bernadette:     "Sunday in the park with.."
       Seurat:       "don't move ur mouth"
       Bernadette:     "geeeeoooooooooorrrrrrrrrrggee"
