Upgrading the Community. Forum will be down for a short while

This is an announcement from the staff.  Our community forum is going to be upgraded to the most recent version of SMF and will be down for a short while today.  Do not panic!

Pisco and Delta will be working on it and when completed, it will be modernized!

The update has been completed. Most functionality should be fully available under the new version. Have fun with a fully up-to-date forum.

Apologies for the short downtime, we are still working behind the scenes to provide the best possible experience, thanks again to Pisco who helped resolve the error that occured while I was trying to do just that.

Beside the new look (which looks way better), bugfixes and security fixes, anything new?

Currently, the software upgrade primarily offers nice features for the administration, namely the fact that some extensions are outdated, broken, or written without any consideration for compatibility with other addons or even the freaking forum software itself.
No, seriously, there are some actual features to speak of. Not all are being utilized, but one that you can use right now is the rich text editor for posts, which allows you to view a few of the BBCode tags in action before you submit your posts.
Many features however are either behind-the-scenes stuff or not rolled out yet, as we have not decided what will be used and what is more trouble than it is worth, and I do not want to promise any upcoming functionality if it might turn out to be the latter.
