I know them! I saw them at a festival last year, I don't know exactly which one, but I'm telling you they're going to Roskilde this year. Spicy Extra: Roskilde hosts a nude run every year! :D

THE NAKED RUN. It's so nice to see that everyone's comfortable with being nude there, at a very large youth event!

Is that Denmark? I love Denmark! I was in Stockholm and Helsinki in 1999 too! Great saunas!
Other music I reccommend:
Augustana
Heartless Bastards
What do people think of the Kings of Leon?
GBA

Dominating my iPod over the last few days is Rigby. A booming Dutch band with some cool songs.
And as a little bonus, in the video for their first single; they are naked. What about that?

haha, the rhythm guitarist looks so uncomfortable being nude  :786 but yeah, pretty good tuneage

One of my favorites lately has been Gaslight Anthem. Has anyone seen them in concert? They were awesome! I need to find out what their tour schedule is.

and yeah, i've seen Gaslight a couple of times - they played at Reading Fest last year and they were pretty mental  :786

they're on a UK tour at the moment, one of my mates is seeing them in London in a couple of weeks, and they're playing at Reading again this August so i'l probs see them then as well if they don't clash with anything  :543

plus, to stay on the subject: i'm currently chillaxing to some Colin Hay, any Scrubs fans might recognize him, Zach Braff is a big fan and so tries to include as many Colin Hay songs into episodes as he can.

Waiting for my Real Life to Begin is a sublime song though :)

literally gives me shivers every time. i love just lying down with my guitar and mellowing out to this :)

Looking for Jack-Colin Hay's first CD-is great and a rare find!

Yep..... REAL metal!!!!   :765  don't know why but I've always loved 80's metal

In fact we just ordered tickets for Judas Priest..... they're playing here August 7th...... it'll be the 4th time I've seen them live.

In total contradiction of musical tastes, I've got a CD of Simon and Garfunkel on right now...... The Boxer is playing......
One of my favorites is a Paul Simon Greatest Hits CD encompassing the beginning of his post-Garfunkel career.

Right this second I'm actually listening to JunkieXL's (aka JXL) remix of Elvis' "A Little Less Conversation."

Fun song, fun video.  Love the fact that they can mix so many styles of dance to the same song.

I haven't listened to too much stuff myself lately, but here are a few recent songs I like:

1) Morrissey - "I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris" (Did you know that he and his band posed naked for the gatefold sleeve for the 7" vinyl version??)

2) Kasabian - "I'm On Fire" (fantastic song, didn't know he was English!)

3) The Gossip - "Heavy Cross"

4) Susan Boyle - "I Dreamed A Dream"

5) The Veronicas - "Good Times" (cover of the old Easybeats song that was also a hit for Jimmy Barnes & INXS in the 80's)

6) Friendly Fires - "In The Hospital"

7) Tom Jones, Vanessa Jenkins, Bryn West & Robin Gibb - "Islands In The Stream" (I want to do this song the next time I go to a karaoke night!)

8) P!nk - "So What?"

9) Lady Gaga - "Poker Face"

10) The Lime Spiders - "Weirdo Libido" (I've started a new net prank called "Mick Rolling" after the lead singer Mick Blood had a go at Rick Astley in Smash Hits magazine in 1988).  Oh and "Never Gonna Give You Up" is also on high rotation too......

1812 Overture- Tchaikovsky

I really love this one, as they kick off the 4th of July fireworks downtown.  We used to be able to get withing 35 ft of the cannon's set up, it is the ultimate in bad-ass when those go off during the tune as the bridge these are on shakes with every shot!

I've heard the 1812 performed live a couple of times and I love it when they play with explosives. Any piece of music that features a cannon as a musical instrument is ok with me.

Tchaikovsky is by far my favourite composer - I love the waltz from Swan Lake:
