There's something I dislike in the way things are portrayed in the media: how things are neatly divided between content producers and consumers. People who create content will discuss this or that work but it always somewhat in relation to their own craft or to analyse or something in that vein.
This is why I find it refreshing to see Stephen King display how he is a complete Harry Potter fanboy. He can read a story and fall into it just because he finds it engaging. Beside, it was deliciously ironic to have him plead to JK Rowling not to kill Harry Potter in the final book.
I love the human side of it all.
Here's his latest quote on Harry Potter:
Harry Potter is all about confronting fears, finding inner strength, and doing what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend. -- Stephen King
