I do some stuff for theatre. This is a house for Helen Keller for the Miracle Worker. It was not my project, I did lighting, but I assisted. It is a three piece set, the stairs and door, the dining room, and the stairs and Annie's room.

I don't have a lot of skill. I have to be told what to do. I'm not good at building things that much.

I am reminded of Anne Heche's line to Harrison Ford in Six Days, Seven Nights where she wants to know if he is one of "those guys who have skills," the kind of guy who can go out into the forest with a jack knife and a Q-tip and build a shopping mall.

If that's your bath, maybe this could be your shower:

I do a bit of woodwork as a hobby, though the bath is way beyond my skills and tools. So far I've mad a multi-level cat stand (scratching post), a sturdy workbench for my garage (to aid in my other hobby of restoring cars), and a coffee table.

I have a friend who is a qualified carpenter. Interstingly he gave it up for another career path because it turns out that most carpenters don't actually get to practice their craft. Most of them end up doing repairs and maintenance (handyman stuff), or they work on a production line where they don't make a table, they make a peice of a table, 20 times a day.

The tub is awesome! I could see why you would want it! I always wish that I took wood shop in school. I am able to build/construct/repair small things but I would never be able to build a chair or a bathtube. Great craftsmanship to all that posted pictures(i think only you wolf).

I do home remodeling for a living, but nothing like that... If I would do a tub like that I would take a regular tub and build wood framing around it.   Not hard but quite time consuming.  Wood and water don't go together it would not look nice for long...unless you never actually use it

It can be done but the wooden frame on the floor makes me headaches. I can't believe it lasts long. Maybe with some tropical wood like bankirai it can work for some time. Or you try to cover the frame with a  thin layer of transparent fiberglass. So you could close the leaks between wood and tub also.

The bath would be useless as a boat. It has a hole in the bottom.
