Great poetry by unknown people
« on: July 29, 2011, 05:14:28 pm »
There is a lot of great poetry in the world but much of it is not writen by super famous super stars like william blake, shakespeare, keats, ect. This thread is for the poets and poems that are less known.

Here's a joke verse by my crazy friend Jacob Pope:

Once there was an old man who didn't say his prayers,
so I grabbed him by the left leg and threw him down the stairs!

Also some good poems on http://www.quietpoetry.com/ .

I love poetry. Somehow the artistic musical flow of words feel like a soothing balm to me. It is especially wonderful when a poem is also a song with instruments and vocals to acompany it.
The greatest danger for humanity lies not in aiming too high and falling short, but in aiming too low and achieving our mark.
