Hi everyone, I just found this thread, so i figured i would post here.
I am now considered a professionally photographer :) A few months back i got my business license here in Germany. Since the move here a year ago, i have found a facebook group that is all American photographers, and we all share our photography passion with one another. We learn from one another, and we have meet ups, where we go to a local city and practice our craft.
I am currently a portrait photographer, but i have started to fall in love with still life photography, abstract, fine art, and sports. i have wanted to learn more about nature, landscapes, urban landscapes, model (nude too), glamor, and wedding. I am mostly self taught, and have begun to learn as much as i can about my craft.
There is this great place that i have found lots of information, and not sure if you have heard of it, but its called Creativelive.com .. they have webinars, where i have learned about wedding, bellies and babies, lighting, and this weekend they are airing about table top photography. It has taught me so much. they even have marketing, so if you start a business, it will teach you how to promote yourself, and use facebook to your advantage.
Thanks
-Laura
