New Zealand - Rotota Sun Club

This is a naturist camping club situated in the central North Island. It is located in a very rural and beautiful area of the country and is surrounded by small hills, trees, shrubs and also a lake (Lake Ohakuri).

I have visited this club just as a visitor and everyone was very welcoming and friendly. It is place were you cannot help but feel in tune with nature because of the landscape, the wildlife and tranquility.

As the site is located on a large area I was able to walk through the wood trails, up a hill to a geothermal area, swim in the lake and the thermal stream. There is even a small waterfall, a short distance from the campsite, where you can enjoy the feeling of the warm water of the falls as it tumbles down onto your bare skin. In the evenings some of the club members all get together to chat and have a drink or two and new visitors are made very welcome.

You will need a vehicle to get here, as it well out of the way, but it really is well worth the effort to visit and experience if you are in New Zealand.
