Has anyone here tried No Man's Sky? I'm wondering if it's any good.
I'm enjoying it. Thing is, people went in with wild expectations where the devs have pretty much said from the beginning what type of game it is. I've never been huge on survival/crafting games but I'm having fun. I find stumbling randomly across bits of lore and information about the galaxy pretty enjoyable. The beginning of the game can be a bit of a slog before upgrading your multi-tool, but once you get decent gear it gets more enjoyable.
Worst part is the lack of inventory space at the beginning. Good thing the day one patch added more.
My best advice is that you watch some gameplay videos and see if the experience looks like something you'd enjoy. Might be some light spoilers if they can even be considered that, but it's mostly showing off your early game objectives which are the same for everyone.
I'll add one more thing, despite the game gently nudging you along in the beginning, what you need to craft what you need to advance is not always that clear. But you'll get a better hang of it as you go along. And good thing the internet is something that exists.
