First there was Spellbinders, a mix between a sci-fi and fantasy show about a kid travelling to a mirror dimension.


And then, of course, Ocean Girl ! About a girl who ... well, lived in the Ocean and could talk to whales ... and the boys on the submarine station who stalked her :)

Yeah ! a great Australian TV series, which made me love science fiction.

@wildneutrino  Yes, the series is called in France "Les Maîtres des sortilèges" and is broadcast on TV, there was not really any Internet download, it was the very beginning of the Internet of the computer network.

It's actually a pretty old series, from the mid 90's I think ?
We've had multiple reruns of the series though, it's still considered a classic.
I actually discovered it myself on DVD when they released it about 8 years ago. I don't think the creators of the series made a lot of other TV shows apart from those 2. And to be frank, we haven't had any as good as those two since then. There was one called Lockies Leonard ... more realistic though, about the laid-back Aussie way of life.

Wallace and Grommet only appeared in a few TV features, and never in a children's series.
Their headquarters is in Bristol and I've driven past it a few times.

And for those who've never see the TV features, there's always the film.

I was greatly saddened by the news of Wallace's passing, I had grown to appreciate Aardman because of him.
