Based on Ian Hamilton's book, it tells the true story of how four Scottish students "liberated" the Stone of Destiny from Westminster Abbey on Christmas Eve in 1950.

Stone of Destiny trailer

It is, quite frankly, a wonderful film. Entertaining, inspiring and funny, it gives a reasonably accurate account of how Ian Hamilton led three of his friends into breaking into Westmister Abbey to take back the ancient symbol of Scottish kings that had been stolen over 650 years beforehand. It doesn't take a stand on the politics, but more focuses on the energy and enthusiasm of youth. As Ian Hamilton says in his book while recounting how he hid in the Abbey overnight after closing time ready to break the doors open from the inside - "Some say youth is wasted on the young. Mine wasn't being".
