What are you favorite sitcoms? Mine are Frasier, Cheers, Seinfeld, and Soap.
-
The king of sitcoms is friends. But I also love frasier, big bang, keeping up appearances and vicar of dibley.
-
Growing up it was Cheers, and Mash. Currently i like How I Met Your Mother, Arrested Development, and I'm getting into Enlisted.

All of those plus Everybody Loves Raymond and British sitcoms like Porridge, Open All Hours, Dad's Army, Some Mothers Do Av Em and Fawlty Towers.

Cheers, Seinfeld, Family Matters, Frasier are my all-time favorites. Liked Two and a Half Men as well until Charlie Sheen went nanners and quit.

Oh I love Raymond. I've never been a big Patricia Heaton fan, but that's the one thing she did that I like. And Ray Romano is so damn funny. I wish that the girl who played Amy did other stuff, but I think that was the only thing she ever did.

Really? Is it not popular in Ireland?

Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm are brilliant
Of the older ones i love Rising Damp, Porridge, Fawlty Towers and Dads Army.
Another who can't stand Mr's Browns Boys here, but Fr Ted is great.
-
+1 for hatred of Mrs Browns Boys - but this is the awesome thing about TV/Movies - there is something out there for everyone, and both formats have so much variety to cater for all tastes.
I define sitcom as something filmed in front of a studio audience, so for me my favorites are:
Vicar of Dibley, Miranda, and I still belly laugh from the Golden Girls - it was so well written and performed even by todays standards. " eat dirt and die, trash" - Blanche - I quote this pretty much every other day to someone lol....

Curb your inthusiasm is brilliant. I got introduced to it while studying postmodernism at uni.

It really is. I hear Larry David is saying there won't be any more.
Hopefully he can be persuaded to change his mind.
Also no one mentioned Only Fools and Horses. That has to be up there, especially the early shorter episodes.
It dropped a little in quality, when the episodes got longer and they brought annoying wives in.
-
Thats a shame. Have you seen modern family too?
-
Thats a shame. Have you seen modern family too?
Yeah its very good. Someone has uploaded most of the episodes to youtube, but for copyright reasons has given them all high pitched voices. Them all sounding like chipmunks makes it even funnier
-
Ha! I've onky seen the first three series. Need to get round to the others. It is a great replacement for ugly netty and desperate housewives. God I miss those shows.
-
tat reminds me.. I avent watced any of tose sitcoms.. I like drama in walkin9 dead..
-
FRIENDS!
Without a doubt. :543
-
Seinfeld!
-
I just started rewatching 30 Rock and started watching Parks and Recreation. Both are really funny! I like a lot of the other shows that the other posters listed as well.
-
I love King of Queens.
-
Malcolm in the middle !
-
Malcolm in the middle !
Me too and ...
-
I don't watch a lot of sitcoms but my brother is a dig fan of Big Bang Theory andI do find some of the episodes pretty funny
-
when I was younger (around 12-15) if it had a laugh-track I would watch it that's why I got into weird shows like Will and Grace, Dharma and Greg (i'm older and understand it more now) Yes, Dear (I unfortunately grew up to become Mike O'Malley, plus there is a slight childhood nostalgia thing there) Two and a Half men (do I even need to explain that one?)
i'm sure there are other SitComs I watch but thats all I can think of off the top of my head
-
Boy meets world
-
Even though this thread is already kinda old.
How I met your mother was, is and is always going to be the best sitcom in my opinion. The way of mixing present, future and past makes it absolutly funny
Everybody who hasn't seen it yet: It's totally worth it
-
I can't say I'm a big fan of these, but I liked some seasons of Family Matters, Alf, Boy Meets World, The Simpsons (can this be considered a sitcom?), Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory. :azn:
-
Who wouldn't love Big Bang Theory?
-

-
Who wouldn't love Big Bang Theory?
Yes. I still want them to make some real episodes of Fun With Flags.
-
Sadly there won't be any more episodes-with our without flags. But there will be reruns for a lifetime.

True. We can look forward to that.
-
I love Fraiser, Big Bang Theory, and Friends.
-
I personally have never been big into sitcoms
-
I really like the big bang theory and also how i met your mother
-
I’m breaking out the best sitcom that’s severely underrated: George Lopez. That show KILLED me when I was younger, and I still love it now. ????
Friends is alright, but I prefer others like Everybody Hates Chris or even Drake and Josh. Probably just because I grew up watching them.
-
My favourite is The Big Bang Theory.
One of my favorite sitcoms. :like
-
Who wouldn't love Big Bang Theory?
*cough* me
-
Who wouldn't love Big Bang Theory?
I loved the Big Bang Theory during their first 5 - 6 seasons. After those seasons, the show mixed a lot of drama... kind of, so I lost interest. :dontgetit
-
I've loved the recent sitcom "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist", about what would happen if someone found out that they could hear people singing their heart-songs, as if in a musical. It's funny, but also handles sensitive issues really well.
-
Who wouldn't love Big Bang Theory?
Sorry. Never got into it.
-
If you have Hulu, check out Miranda from the BBC!!
-
I like "Home improvement".
-
Something I've been watching and is pretty funny is Married with Children. But it's like a lot of dad jokes lol.
-
Arrested Development is probably my favorite
-

@brettb I think the most intelligent character on the show was Buck. But, some episodes were funny despite the dad jokes.
-
I like Letter Kenny and I like Rick and Morty
-
I really like Parks & Recreation, Brooklyn 99 and The Good Place
-
I really like Parks & Recreation, Brooklyn 99 and The Good Place
I still can't believe how well The Good Place teaches moral philosophy while still being one of the funniest shows out there. It's amazing
-
My favorite Sitcom always will be King of Queens :cheesy:
-
Mostly British Classics, can’t really get away with modern ones. Couldn’t get into American ones either but I thought Night Court from the 80s was hilarious
-

Parks and Rec was funny. The last season not as much to me
-
I generally rarely switch on the TV any more. I also don't watch any series at all and only rarely watch movies. Regarding sitcoms, I used to like Alf (and could actually watch it again).
Apart from that, I (only a few years ago) came across "Three's Company" (which is even older than Alf and I don't know if it was even repeated on German TV in the 90s). I could only find a few episodes on Vimeo and thought they were pretty funny.
Are there others who (still) know and like "Three's Company"?
-
I started watching sitcoms with my dad, so my favourites are Blackadder and The thin blue line. More recently I have watched Servant of the people and Office, but I dont really watch sitcoms alone, I usually watch whatever my dad or my family watches and watch with them.

Have you seen Peep Show and The Thick of It?, If so, would you recommend?
-
Our local PBS station had some hysterical Brit-Coms (I think from the 1970's) Are You Being Served and Keeping Up Appearances.
-

Wow! You get Blackadder and Thin blue line in Latvia? Nice one. What other British sitcoms do you get there?

Are you being Served, not one of my favourite but definitely a classic. Keeping up appearances was from the 90s, another classic.
“Mrs Bucket?”
“It’s bouquet!”

I think that I watched Blackadder and The thin blue line on Dvd, but the Latvian television still airs Keeping up appearances and Miranda sometimes. Also there is Father Ted and Allo Allo

@Fishandchips Who wouldn't love (as the minister calls her) "The Bucket Woman", Rose, Onslow and especially the unseen Sheridan?
I would have thought you would have liked AYBS, especially Mr. Humphries and Mrs. Slocum. Would you allow Mr. Humphries to take your inside leg?

-
I always liked the Fresh Prince of Bel Air
Maybe the best theme song of any sitcom
