-
Day 01: Color
Luca Turilli's stuff came way too short in my entries for the last one, so I shall make up for that with a song by him whose title features something that is arguably a color:
Black Dragon
Luca Turilli- Black dragon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6rabpUZte0#)

I was gonna join in with the cheesiness and post this
ann lee - two times (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YaStzbltk4#)

Iron Maiden - 2 Minutes to Midnight (Live After Death) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihbRtLrK36Y#)
OK it's debatable ;)
You like the heavier stuff eh?
For some reason a female voice gets me every time.
Another strong candidate is a clip I once saw from CBC shot in the 60s or 70s of Dawn Christie doing her rendition of 'Eve of Destruction' but no number in the title and may or may not refer to the cold war.
-
Day 2: Song with a number on its tittle. Once again... Metallica. "One". Epic song. :323232

Day 3. A song that reminds you of summertime
If you want cheesy, there aren't many cheesier than Gunter.
Gunter - teeny weeny string bikini (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eyGLtT4b3o#)
If you haven't heard Gunter before, I recommend listening to Ding Ding Dong. That, in my opinion, is one of the cheesiest songs ever! (and hilarious)

-
Day 4:
David Guetta - Titanium ft. Sia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRfuAukYTKg#ws)
This played a lot on the radio at my last job. Worst summer ever, made even worse by the creep who wouldn't leave me alone and wanted to know every detail about everyone's personal lives.
-
Day 4: A song that reminds you of someone you would rather forget about. Ozzy Osbourne, "I don´t Know". This reminds me of a girl I dated, some time ago. She just suddenly avoided me, without giving me a reason. She didn't tell me why she did that, till 4 years later. She isn't on my mind now, until this I saw what day #4 of this thread was all about.

For the future, could you please wrap all but one of the videos you post at once into [noembed][/noembed] tags? We only allow a limited number of embedded videos per page to prevent pages from becoming too full, and it takes away from anyone else trying to post videos to their songs.

I used up my favorite and only classical song last time. Had to dig deep...
Star Wars- The Imperial March (Darth Vader's Theme) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bzWSJG93P8#)
-
17. A song that would sing a duet with on karaoke
Well this is different. If it had been ' a song that you would sing on karaoke' that would be much easier.
Im gonna go with this, just because I have done it before.
The Pogues Featuring Kirsty MacColl - Fairytale Of New York (Official Video)) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9jbdgZidu8#)
-
Day 17

-
Excuses are like butts etc... ;)
Never heard that one before, but I looked it up.
Anyway, Day 19: Life
Well, it is a mix of inspirational words from people who explore the universe and various aspects of life, but still it is mixed into a song, so I guess it counts:
Symphony of Science - 'Our Place in the Cosmos' (ft. Sagan, Dawkins, Kaku, Jastrow) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vioZf4TjoUI#)

23. A song that you think everybody should listen to
I'm surprised this guy doesn't have more views. He is amazingly talented and on a few different instruments. This is my favorite, but he has so much more great videos that are worth having a look at.
Rain - Rob Scallon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdURqcVxIdk#ws)
-
Fuck You - Lily Allen (Lyrics) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OK4fJhbRL1g#)
-
Day 23:
JOHN LENNON - "GIMME SOME TRUTH" HD (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlzrNKN3rZI#ws)
-
Dangit... the problem is not finding songs that deserve more exposure, the problem is narrowing it down to just one...
Day 23: Something for everyone
I think I will choose something not tied to a somewhat popular show or a major band in their genre that is also in English. Just to narrow it down a bit.
Symphony of Science - The Poetry of Reality (An Anthem for Science) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Cd36WJ79z4#ws)
-
Day 23:
So many songs I could have chosen, but this song has really struck me recently and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't listen to it. These guys will be huge in a few years so watch out:
The Joy Formidable - A Minute's Silence [Official Audio] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-m_sKvp1-to#ws)

The Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop ("Hey Ho! Let's Go!") [HD] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElX7x_qNUYQ#ws)
-
Day 24:
Wish I had seen these when they were still about  One of many bands I found too late.
Such a beautiful song:
The Sins Of Thy Beloved - All Alone (Live) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztmmw6QyxTQ#ws)
-
Day 24:
My Chemical Romance - Na Na Na - Lyric Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zm8xIo_2Aok#ws)
They split up not long after I'd started getting into them. Just my luck, eh?
-
Day 24: A band no longer together
The band still exists , but it has split into two since, so I guess it counts:
rhapsody of fire-ACT III:the ancient fires of Har-Kuun(lyrics) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fY11DDNpe9M#)
And since it is almost midnight:
Day 25: The passed past artist
Since Marney already did Pachelbel, let me take one of the most famous classical pieces:
Beethoven - Symphony No. 5 (FULL) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6z4KK7RWjmk#)
-
24: A song by a band you wish were still together
Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1w7OgIMMRc4#)

25. A song by an artist no longer living
Michael Jackson - Man In The Mirror (Original Clip) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9Nh84lfvW0#)

Ian Curtis (vocalist) committed suicide on 18th May 1980.
-
Hey Chris,
What's with the new avatar?
25: Dead Poet
Amy Winehouse - You Know I'm no Good (Live on The Russell Brand Show) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gLU56XzSL0#ws)

-
Day 25:
Freddie Mercury (Queen) - 'Living On My Own' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VgN1qlLpkE#)
-
Hey Chris,
What's with the new avatar?
Its just for today (August 1st). It is Yorkshire day. So the avatar is a 'Yorkshire Rose' and a message that just says Happy Yorkshire Day.
-
Day 26: Falling in love.
No song will make me want that. BUt for the sake of the game:
Aina - Serendipity (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nY6wdh1yFSw#)
-
26. A song that makes you want to fall in love
Ed Sheeran-Little Bird Lyrics (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdOF_qYWx-s#)
-
Day 26:
Blue Oyster Cult: Burnin' For You (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipqqEFoJPL4#)
-
Day 26: To Fall in Love
Sure - have a look at my sappy side...
Crimson and Clover - Tommy James & The Shondells (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpGEeneO-t0#)
-
27 a song that breaks your heart (in that case in a very good meaning ;) )
If We Hold On Together (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObPneATgASs#)
-
If my physical heart were to break, I would suffer rapid blood loss. For my metaphorical heart to break, I would need to have one. So no hertbreaking songs from me. A song with a heartbreak theme though:
Kamelot - Love You To Death [Official Music Video] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9BwQGYDLXg#ws)
-
27. A song that breaks your heart
I don't think any sing could 'break my heart' physically or metaphoricaly so I have no idea what to post for this. The only song I can think of is Hurt, but I've used that already.
After searching google for 10-15 minutes I have decided I'll go with something from my music player instead
Sick Puppies - Howard's Tale (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ed-yAL5qLSU#)
-
Day 27:
Chicago-You're the inspiration (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THGpRW6yYdk#ws)
Damn you, Elite Beat Agents....
-
If my physical heart were to break, I would suffer rapid blood loss. For my metaphorical heart to break, I would need to have one.
Come again?
I'm pretty sure you're not metaphorically heartless Buddy - not too interested in the whole falling in love thing but that's a far cry from not having a heart.
Excellent choice Blizz; you seem to like older stuff eh?
As for me - there might be the odd song out there that could actually break my heart - especially thos video tributes on youtube to children who have died but since I can't think of one right now I'm going with this:
Day 27: Heartbreaker
Amy Winehouse - Rehab (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUmZp8pR1uc#ws)
Should've gone...
-
Come again?
I'm pretty sure you're not metaphorically heartless Buddy - not too interested in the whole falling in love thing but that's a far cry from not having a heart.
I like to style myself as more inhuman than I really am, that is correct. Still does not change the fact that what we tend to call heartbreak is related to romance, so it can hardly affect those who do not engage in that.
Day 28: Voice
Demons and Wizards - Fiddler on the Green (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGMx0YkeTFQ#)
Nobody can beat Hansi Kürsch in the sounding awesome department. Other than Roy Khan, but he quit music and I already posted a Kamelot song yesterday. Still, for those interested: [noembed]On the Edge of Paradise (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBLaiCF23iI)[/noembed]
-
[Still does not change the fact that what we tend to call heartbreak is related to romance, so it can hardly affect those who do not engage in that.
Close but not quite: I chose my post specifically to illustrate that there are other forms of heartbreak - seemed better than posting a picture of drowned kittens.
-
[Still does not change the fact that what we tend to call heartbreak is related to romance, so it can hardly affect those who do not engage in that.
I chose my post specifically to illustrate that there are other forms of heartbreak
Me too. I do agree with what Delta is saying though about heartbreak being related to romance more often than not.
-
Excellent choice Blizz; you seem to like older stuff eh?
Well, the vast majority of new stuff holds little to no sway over me. It all seems manufactured.
That, and I was listening to things like The Beatles from a young age, thanks to my dad.
-
28. A song by an artist with a voice that you love
I could listen to Mike Ness all day. He should sing for every band
Social Distortion- Angel's Wings (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SOb_xlnpPQ#)
-
28. A song by an artist with a voice that you love
P!nk Perfect Live iHeartRadio (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEhaEhmdwL8#ws)
-
28: A song by an artist with a voice that you love
How to choose?
Emma Shaplin, Celine Dion, Cindy Lauper, Duffy, Andrea Corr, Kimbra, Lady Gaga, Esthero, Pink, Bono, Chuck D, Bryan Adams, Sarah Brightman... the list is pretty much endless...
Does James Earl Jones reciting 'The Raven' count?
Time for some Susanna Hoffs:
Susanna Hoffs - Eternal Flame (Live) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xjzi8NC8bI#)
Also just for shits and giggles:
Tom Waits - I Don't Want To Grow Up (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IaNaQHjIRE#)
-
29. A song that you remember from your childhood
Well I think I posted Blue (da ba dee) in the last thread for this question so this time Im gonna for my favorite band growing up.
Vengaboys - Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llyiQ4I-mcQ#ws)
-
Day 29:
The Power Rangers Orchestra - Go, Go Power Rangers. - Movie Main Track OST (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CMOgCvhZ5U#)
-
Blizz: Heh, normally I am the one to post songs like that.
But this time, it will be the first song I remember first hearing the Japanese version of.
Dragon Ball GT - Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku Zard (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Nit53YR0Fg#)
-
29: A song that you remember from your childhood
I was obsessed with this song when I was about 6 - I believe it was the first pop song/radio song that I actually liked.
Daryl Hall & John Oates - Maneater (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRYFKcMa_Ek#)
If we play this game again I'm going to be down to the Astroboy Theme song or Sharon, Lois and Bram - just a heads up.
-
Edelweiss - Starship Edelweiss (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEpcjgYHE4U#)
-
For my part, I shall conclude this: Day 30: Everyone is on a journey to find their true self.
But it is not Journey through the Decade I pick. Last time I chose the soulforged, but for a bit of variety, here is a piece about another character I sometimes identify with:
Dargor, Shadowlord of the Black Mountains (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSOZyc0zy9Q#)
-
Day 30 A song that reminds you of yourself:
a little explanation... i love the Sinatra Version of that song such a long time and unite a lot of memories with it. Especially when i think about my grandfather who loved the Song. I never heard/found another Version that moves me like this song does ... UNTIL i stummbled about Chris Mann (he was in TheVoice S03) and his "altered/fresher" Version of My Way just blew me away ...
and the Reason i choosed that Song is ... i never used the easy way in my life and i know i could have had an easier way in many parts of my life but at least ... I DID MY WAY !!!
My Way - Chris Mann (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aywsOVGuoeE#)
-
30. A song that reminds you of yourself
I think I posted the Ramones for this last time so its hard to think of something different. I'm not a believer of many things but it is the verses that really explain me and how I live my life.
The Bouncing Souls - True Believers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QP2cOXCTroA#)
-
Day 30:
I'm Still Here (Jim's Theme) - Treasure Planet (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DfTzlHte3U#)
-
Day 30: Me
All Hell For a Basement/Heaven In Alberta (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilWj3OEugTY#)
Chris - you may or may not find this one interesting.
