I found it interesting that there is casual nudity in this video around the 19:00 mark and it's done in a very nonchalant, unsensational way. Clothed and unclothed people mixing without caring what the other thinks.

obviously the channel edited in the censor-bits, not youtube, but the problem goes past just "this one company" or "this individual choice". nothing exists in a vacuum, and in this case the vacuum is filled to the brim with modesty

You're right. But youtube's algorithm probably forced them to make it censored. Youtube doesn't allow nudity.

So youtube does allow nudity where the purpose is "educational, documentary, scientific or artistic". But I feel like the algorithm doesn't promote content that includes nudity, hence why people feel the need to censor content.

The youtube algorithm is fucked beyond belief. You can't even say swear words or even words like "exposed" without being throttled. Nudity would not only ban your entire channel with no hopes of recovery it might as well erase you and your bloodline from human history.

The wiki article starts at 1991 so the earlier video might be just promo material from the ship's previous trips. It was used as a school-boat in 1995-1987 but the wiki doesn't mention any actual movies from that period.
