That was my favourite:
Rahan (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEwAsfpDsMk#)
This was created in France so I doubt many of you watched it but this was my favourite by far.
What was yours?

Doug:
Disney's Doug (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5145Ia7cOdA#)
Saint Seya:
Saint Seiya Opening 1 Japanese Version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rlDsuT38kk#ws)
Dragon Ball:

Cybercops:

-
wow, I forgot about Doug, I use to watch it all the time :345678
-
All I'm going to say is "Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grub."
-
My favorite TV show was Tom and Jerry; I also liked Recess and Osmosis Jones.
-
Wow, I enjoyed seeing those intros! I liked Danger Mouse, and Hong Kong Phooey was one of my all-time faves:
Hong Kong Phooey (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7Ic-WAlyhA#)
Also I like Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry, etc, ah, too many to mention!! Actually I still like watching them, they make me laugh! And I also like some of the real classics like Bagpuss, which was made nearby to where I live. It's so beautiful, simple and creative, it really warms you inside! And, I loved Maid Marian and her Merry Men, it was so funny! :-)

Oh sweet lord, I'm very much looking forward to seeing the progression of this thread. I'm about to head out the door so I can't look for videos, but I really have to pop my head in and mention Animaniacs before I leave. I mean really. Who could not love Animaniacs? Haha I was obsessed. And there's always Pinky and the Brain as well as Freakazoid. Steven Spielberg made some really great cartoons in the 90s, amirite?
-
I had many; I watched to much TV as a kid. One of my favorites was "Johnny Quest". I kind of had a boy-crush on him… airplanes, jet packs, boats, scuba diving, helicopters…and he and Haji occasionally wore a speedo…lol
Jonny Quest original closing credits (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxTOze30SCA#)
-
My favorite childhood shows were mostly Hanna-Barbera stuff as well as Pokemon and a few others.
-
Being a typical North American kid who would rush towards the TV set after school and on Saturday mornings....it was all about Transformers and G.I. Joe...:)
Heck, I even cried when Optimus Prime sacrificed himself within the mighty Transformer god Unicron...lol.
-
I was a huge Doug fan, but my fav was definitely Hey Arnold!
-
He-Man that was the fave from my time.
-
I was a huge Doug fan, but my fav was definitely Hey Arnold!
I feel like Hey Arnold got a bad rap sometimes because Arnold himself was such a nice, understanding guy that people thought he was boring. I disagree though. He just happened to be the straight-man in a town full of loons. That show was great :)

Agreed, it's on Netflix too! In my opinion it's stood the test of time.
-
Flintstones, Bugs Bunny and Tweety Bird Show were my favorites for sure.
-
I was a Nickelodeon kid, so Doug, Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, Angry Beavers, Hey Arnold, Space Cases, Kenan and Kel, first couple seasons of All That, and Doug.
As for the rest, Power Rangers, X-Men, Sailor Moon, The Slayers, and Ranma 1/2.
-
I was a Nickelodeon kid
Me too, all those shows were great. I need to track down the Adventures of Pete and Pete DVD set. That was such a bizarre, surreal show and it didn't talk down to kids.
Pete & Pete intro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnqeeBdGhh4#)
Also, Batman the Animated Series. I've been re-watching that show on Hub and it's even better watching it grown up.
-
lol Pete and Pete. I watched that show a little, but it reminded me of the other Nick shows I loved. Are You Afraid of the Dark and Legends of the Hidden Temple
-
I had a lot of favorites, especially old-school Nickelodeon, but this was by far the best:
Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers Theme Song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfxIa-643zI#)
That show was awesome. I also loved the NES game.
I watched it in French though and the theme is slightly different:
Tic et Tac Ranger du risque - générique français (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJ6DaxCIuFo#)
I like it better but it might be the nostalgia talking.
-
I also loved the NES game.
I was actually going to mention that. I played that game every day as a kid and it was one of my favorites out of my collection. I went back and played it somewhat recently, about six months or so, and to be critical, it was dreadful as far as a NES game goes. The controls make it almost unplayable when you compare it to other NES games. And yet, I still loved it. I felt like a kid. Funny how nostalgia does that. Even when something turns out to be something not so great, it's still amazing.
-

I also played it back. It was a few years ago but still, I was an adult when I tried it back. And I found it to still be quite excellent and manage two players better than most NES games. The control was pretty good to me.
The only criticism I have is that it's a very, very short game.
Still awesome.
-
I loved most of the Saturday morning cartoons and the shows (Saved By The Bell, etc.) on NBC. I used to watch the SNICK shows and the other Nickelodeon stuff... A lot of my kid show watching happened on Saturday for some reason :)
Pete and Pete was one of my favorites b/c it was so surreal and had so many cool guest stars. Garfield, the Muppet Babies (I'm in love with the Muppets though!) and Pepper Ann were great too!
-
Wow you guys listed my favorite Nickelodeon show. Old also include Rugrats, aargh real monsters, are you afraid of the dark as well as some non nickelodeon shows, dark wink such, duck tales, captain planet and the planeteers.
Good times,
Keenan and kel and all that we're by far my favorite nick shows, too bad they dont make shows like these as they used to, but those were the days
-
Does anyone remember what their favorite shows were as a kid? I certainly do! My favorites included, The Magic School Bus, Tiny Toons Adventures, Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?, and Legends of the Hidden Temple.
What about you? What were your favorite shows growing up?

I always watched loony toons but I didn't really care for em. Thanks to one episode about an ugly duckling, the Blue Danube Waltz gives me a twitch to this day.
My main shows were
Walker Texas Ranger
Hercules
Zena
Pirates of Dark Water
Power Rangers
Star Trek TNG
Every October I'd watch The Halloween Tree.

But Emily loved him.

I have fond memories watching Wallace and Gromit when I was younger, and it still holds up today! :azn:

Wallace and gromit? Never heard of it

Wallace and gromit? Never heard of it
It was a British stop motion animated show...

This scene and when they went to the moon (which is made of cheese in their universe ) is probably the parts I remember most :azn:

@NudeNathan
Wallace and Grommet only appeared in a few TV features, and never in a children's series.
Their headquarters is in Bristol and I've driven past it a few times.
And for those who've never see the TV features, there's always the film.
-
Ohh! Now I remember but I never really seen the show

Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears
I love the Gummi Bears! I bought the DVDs practically as soon as they came out but it turned out they were geoblocked for the US only  Even my all region player couldn't get around it.
I also loved Captain Planet, Widget and (here's one for the Aussies) Round the Twist!
https://youtu.be/KPxJ6RR40ZU (https://youtu.be/KPxJ6RR40ZU)
That has to be the weirdest kids' TV show ever!
But my ultimate favourite would have to be Babar

Easy,
First there was Spellbinders, a mix between a sci-fi and fantasy show about a kid travelling to a mirror dimension.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UU8JghT3lI (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UU8JghT3lI)
And then, of course, Ocean Girl ! About a girl who ... well, lived in the Ocean and could talk to whales ... and the boys on the submarine station who stalked her :)

Australia knew how to made great educational live tv shows for kids at the time !!

@wildneutrino Yes, the series is called in France "Les Maîtres des sortilèges" and is broadcast on TV, there was not really any Internet download, it was the very beginning of the Internet of the computer network.

Ok, I get it :)
It's actually a pretty old series, from the mid 90's I think ?
We've had multiple reruns of the series though, it's still considered a classic.
I actually discovered it myself on DVD when they released it about 8 years ago. I don't think the creators of the series made a lot of other TV shows apart from those 2. And to be frank, we haven't had any as good as those two since then. There was one called Lockies Leonard ... more realistic though, about the laid-back Aussie way of life.

I was greatly saddened by the news of Wallace's passing, I had grown to appreciate Aardman because of him.
