Can anyone remember what was the first ever games console you bought or received?
Showing my age here but I had two more or less around the same timeframe. They were a Super Nintendo Entertainment System and a Sega Mega Drive. I have more memories of the former, especially playing Donkey Kong Country.

Playstation 1, older "fat" model

Oldest to newest consoles I have owned/own:
Nintendo DSi XL
PlayStation 2
Xbox 360 E
Xbox One S

Mine was an atari 2600 😳

this might be getting off-topic but I honestly liked the "fat" PS2's more than the thin ones...I just thought they looked cooler

Slightly even more of topic - I understand what you mean. I have always loved minimalist type of things. Find it fascinating they can fit practically the same or more in a smaller container. Just looks slick an appealing but the bigger one has a weighty oomph that's nice to hold

I started out with a DS and a wii, but if we really go back I'm pretttty sure the leapster counts

My first (which I still have) was a 16 bit Sega Genesis. I grew up playing it and a lot of Sonic the Hedgehog games.

The OG N64 was my first. My older brother (11 years older) would stomp me in Goldeneye every night. Good times.

Fat PlayStation 1

My earliest memory of a games console was some kind of atari I believe in the early 90s but that was my dad's. The first console that was mine and in my bedroom was a Sega mega drive.

Mine was the xbox 360 , such a great console with many amazing games

I never owned an N64 but I used to play Goldeneye a lot with my cousin, and some friends. I think the menu theme will be permanently etched into my brain.
