i read the first tarzan book a while back and it's got an interesting take on clothes, but i found it pretty outweighed by its existence as a weird time capsule of colonialist thinking. foundational for the genre though, and it goes by quick

It's very interesting in it's way of capturing the colonialist ways of thinking.

i finished getting over it. and then 23 hours later, i finished it again, to get the "do it twice" achievement.

if you just play methodically and put something on in the background it's really not that bad, but i see why it frustrates people so much
