So I'm having breakfast right now, and while surfing IYNO forum and eating, I'm also watching a favorite cartoon series of mine from when I was a kid, which is He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. I've also been watching on youtube The Gummi Bears, which bring me fond memories. So I was wondering. What is everyone's favorite cartoon series from your childhood?
-
There are so many!! But I think my all time favorite was probably Pokemon lol
-
yes! well when I was a kid, I used to get up early every saturday mornings to see cartoons. every network carried a vast variety of shows. I remember the Ghostbusters, The Bugs Bunny and Tweety show, Pee wee's playhouse, X-men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, A Pup named Scooby-Doo, just to named a few. I also was a big fan of Darkwing Duck and the Disney Afternoon block. What times! :63424
-
My favorite was count duckular. I also loved xmen thundercats, turtles, danger mouse and scooby doo.
-
My favorite was The Magic school Bus.
-
I posted it earlier in a similar thread but my favourite was Rahan:
Rahan (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEwAsfpDsMk#)
-
Rahan looks pretty rad. I was way into Dragonball and DBZ, as well as whatever was on Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. I still hold cartoons up as better fare than most of what's on TV.
-
Rahan looks pretty rad.
Rahan is about a cavemen on a quest to find the sun's hut. The main theme of the series is that Rahan teaches people not to rely on prejudices and superstitions but to check things out for yourself and always ask yourself why things are how they are.
-
Another of my favourites:
Sous le Signe Des Mousquetaires (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ghn8i8RyjyU#)
That one is French/Japanese instead of French.
-
Mine changed with my age, but here are some of the main ones: Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, Sonic the Hedgehog, Street Sharks, ReBoot, Wacky Races, Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines, Dexter's Laboratory, Ed Edd n Eddy, Recess, Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z, Spider-Man and Digimon.
-
Mine are: Rugrats, Doug, Dexter Lab, Cat Dog, Sponge Bob, .. and im sure ill think of more. All those shows were 100x better than any show today!
-
TMNT, Sonic, Super Mario Bros, Thundercats and Chip & Dale's were all great! How about this one? These were the original Power Rangers, twice as nice.
VOLTRON INTRO (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ub5bl2QNHPw#)
-
Galaxy rangers was another classic.
-
the Ghostbusters, The Bugs Bunny and Tweety show, Pee wee's playhouse, X-men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Scooby-Doo
and dexters laboratory, jonny bravo
-
Ghostbusters, Turtles, Tom&Jerry, and for sure Inspector Gadget :azn:
-
Ghostbusters, Turtles, Tom&Jerry, and for sure Inspector Gadget :azn:
I'm with you on those ones! :)
-
Inspector Gadget was great! of course, Turtles were awesome! thank to them, I have a pizza addiction till this very day!
-
Transformers!
:-)
Joey
-
Tom & Jerry, Saint Seiya (Japanese anime). But the most philosophical of all is Rurouni Kenshin a.k.a. Samurai X.
-
Teenage mutant ninja turtles, Spider-man, Pokemon, Transformers, X-men, Darkstalkers. I still watch the newer cartoons on the internet. Well, not Pokemon, somehow I have lost interest on that show. I like how some shows have changed over the years. More effort on the art, story and voice acting.
-
I liked pretty much all the Hanna-Barbera cartoons. But my all time favorite cartoon was SpongeBob SquarePants. You wouldn't believe much SpongeBob merch. I have.
-
Oh, I almost forgot! The longest running of Japanese anime series ever, and perhaps the most famous: DORAEMON!!!
-
Recess! I saw it on the TV a few days ago and completely forgot about the show. I used watch it all the time
-
I use to love watching the gummi bears and the smurfs, I recently managed to get my hands on the entire gummi bears and smurf series.
-
I wouldn't call it my favourite (that would be anything from Hanna-Barbera, Looney Tunes, or Tom & Jerry), but I've been rewatching Animaniacs lately and I had no idea how many "adult" jokes are in that series!
-
As a child I used to love watching the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and as an older kid it was "Pinky and the Brain". They were, and still are, so go with joke on all levels so you can re-watch them as an adult and laugh all over again.
-
Some dutch series called kulderzipken!
-
Bugs Bunny Show
-
Ok to list the one's I like would be basically quoting 80% of all the shows everyone has listed. If someone put a gun to my head and made pick just one it would have to be the Looney Tune cartoons, still there are so so many that I love. I was also hooked on watching the fake wrestling as a kid. I'd sit and watch it for 3 hours straight. :63424

Back in the late 80´s and early 90's, wrestling WAS like a real life cartoon. Still, I really loved it back then. Hulk Hogan had a cartoon series in the mid 80´s called Rock n Wrestling. That was a cool cartoon too.

Ahhh Saturday morning cartoons..My top two would be Ghostbusters and Xmen followed by Thundercats.
-
Sailor Moon!
-
There really were so many... Gargoyles was pretty great, and I was also fond of Aladdin. Scooby Doo was also great, as was The Magic Schoolbus. I also recall being fond of a series known as Little Bear. It varied quite a bit with age, but, in general, I preferred series with better defined 'rules' over those with less well defined rules, (Aladdin over Timon and Pumba, for example) and I tended to dislike anything that tried too hard to shove a moral down one's throat. Realistically drawn humans were also a big deal to me. Series like Doug, with its blue people, tended not to be very well liked by me. In fact, I tended to prefer series with anthropomorphized animals, such as Darkwing Duck, over series where the humans had odd skin colors or completely unrealistic body shapes (Like in Ed, Edd, and Eddy), as in those, at least there was a reason that the characters did not look like humans.
-
Magic Schoolbus was awesome! A entertaining show that was also educational. Seems like they don't have any TV shows like that for kids today.
-
Sorry If I'm bit younger than everyone, but I grew up on The Wiggles, especially their Steve Erwin episodes. But that is long and gone, and 3 out of the 4 original wiggles are retiring and being replaced :/
-
Series like Doug, with its blue people, tended not to be very well liked by me.
This one guy on a forum I used to go on a lot actually held a sort of contest to try and find a cartoon more boring than Doug. I think the only one that came close was As Told By Ginger.
-
Scooby Doo :234567

We spent a good two hours at work today talking about this. There were only a couple patients that needed little care and we just spent that time discussing our cartoon youth from nickelodeon. Going through wikipedia it's amazing how many of our shows were produced from Canada. Our neighbor to the north really had an impact on our growing up.
-
I'v been reminiscing about this one lately.

Pokémon, Digimon, classic Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera toons.

I used to like Dora the Explorer. When I see it now I can't believe how cheesy it is
-
Most of my favorites from my childhood are still my favorites as an adult lol

we have alot to talk about! especially if you're into modern or post-modern Simpsons..or whatever that era is called now
-
Just want to let any Batman: The Animated Series fans know that the Blu-Ray set is fantastic. The quality is amazing and the color palette really shines through. If you watch the comparisons with the DVD releases, everything there looked so muddy and washed out.
-
As a kid, I loved the old Disney shorts starring Donald, Mickey and Goofy.
Okay, I admit, I still like them today...

Yea so many great moments. The Insanity Pepper, "put it in H", "release the hounds", lol. That Halloween ep, riffing on that Twilight Zone ep, where Bart has godlike power, scared the hell out of me when I was a kid :rotfl2:
-
The old classics like Tom and Jerry and Loony Toons

-
like anything on Noggin. oh how I miss Moose and Zee
-
I always hoped that one day he could catch it!
-
This probably the hardest question to answer but I would have to say Pokemon since I watched it every morning religiously, bought the trading cards, bought the video games on Gameboy, Nintendo 64 and Gamecube. It was a big part of my childhood.
-
Dragonball and Digimon
-
Probably regular show and ninjago
-
Pokemon, Dragonball Z, Rocco’s Modern Life, Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy
Tell me you were born in the 90’s without telling me you were born in the 90’s
