Trying out Halo 4 just spent an hour getting slaughtered. It’s when you start a game on normal mode and reminded that you never tried anything other than easy mode when you realise how shit you are at these things :laughcrying:

For some reason, I always feel like I'm cheating if I pick easy or normal mode in a game , so I end up selecting Hard Mode and dying over and over again, making no progress

I always choose the hardest difficulty on the video games. Gives me a proper challenge. But it also means I spend 4 hours on a segment that should've taken 10 minutes. :laughcrying: :laughcrying:
But I will never reduce the difficulty. My pride forbids it.

every time i go back to a game i thought i was a world champion at, it turns out either i'm really rusty, or was just mediocre the entire time. still, not lying when i say i once pulled off the sans fight in undertale without getting hit

my only memory of halo 4 is my dad getting it for me a few years back and my mum kicked off bc it was a 16 and i was 10 i think haha. if i was any good at it i would of remembered more so its safe to say i was just as bad haha

Goes to show how outdated I am with games too lol

If a game has difficulty settings, I usually start on normal, just cuz you gotta learn the controls and mechanics. Hard to learn if you're just getting destroyed constantly.
Now, with that said, my favorite games are the souls series, which don't have player selectable difficulty...it's just fucking brutal right from the start. And yet, I love those games because of how rewarding it is to finally succeed after what feels like endless punishment.

Yeah I usually end up picking the hardest difficulty mode in a game but in games like halo they just turn every enemy into a damage sponge. Its more tedious than hard

Still need to steal my brothers PS4 and finish FF7
