Title: Instant streaming: Recommend a piece!
Post by: Turtlejosh on February 02, 2016, 10:05:50 am
Howdy campers.

So we live in the modern age now. Movies are good at the cinema, and you may enjoy buying DVDs still. But let's be honest, you probably stream things from Netflix or Amazon.

So this is where this kicks in. There is so much to watch right now, where do you even start? I'm gonna post reviews here, but I want you all to do the same. Inspire others to watch something, or click here when they are looking for new binge to or a good movie.

Let me begin.

Daredevil, on Netflix.

Let's start strong. A marvel tv show, daredevil more than makes up for the last film. It had the same good points as the movies out recently, such as avengers, but it takes the grittiness factor up ALOT. This is fantastic, expect blood. And a lot of it. It is shot beautifully and the actors shine. It really is the epitome of Netflix tv, and we should embrace it. It stays strong for 13 episodes and it really grabs you.

If you haven't seen it yet, do. Now, what do you recommend me?

Now, what do you recommend me?

Of course Jessica Jones on Netflix! What would you expect!? It provides you another dark story from Kitchen's Hell. Honestly, I liked Jessica Jones more, but let me know how you guys think about the show.

Right now, for me, it's The X- Files TV Show. It's going to be a very short show- I've heard, but it's really nice to have Scully and Mulder got together again. It's been great so far and very nostalgic. Also, it's still running now, soo, maybe not the option that you'd like to get if you're more into binge watching.

Another suggestion?

"Chelsea Does" on Netflix. Only four topics/episodes: marriage, racism, drugs and silicon valley. Easy and hilarious to binge.

My Netflix subscription has run out and I'm not going to re-subscribe for a while I think, but recently I've been watching War and Peace on BBC1 online. BBC version of this classic is short and to the point. So far I've been enjoying it very much.

All of these are fantastic choices. I have added a lot to my list!

With house of cards coming out again, I reckon a rematch is in order?

Because you can use Netflix on a variety of mediums, where you can't with Kodi.

Just edit to this post. Any further post we had that was in discussion, including my own, about Exodus with Kodi have been removed. Even though it's not said directly in the rules, we don't want to promote any potentially illegal software. If it's something that people wish to talk about via PM or other outside services, that's fine, but let's keep this thread with @Turtlejosh 's original topic. Thank you everyone for the understanding.

Alarm fur Corba 11 I'll admit this series was only brought to my attention in the FKK Museum's TV listing but I watched some episodes before the FKK episode came available on RTL's on demand site which is available outside of Germany so no Geoblocking at least for New Zealand it's pretty good there's a legit to watch this. It seems like a good series but my German isn't at level isn't really to know fully what's going on. Since it was only released on the 6th of April it's very unlikely unofficial English subs are available yet. I should mention it's a crime drama and not the first crime drama in a naturist setting but certainly the most recent

I just finished a UK series called, People Just Do Nothing, on Netflix. 3 short seasons about a mockumentary featuring a group of DJs and their arrogant-as-all-hell MC running a pirate radio station called, "KURUPT FM".

It was fucking great...so great...

Black Mirror is pretty cool.  Its like "The Twilight Zone" or "The Outer Limits".  One off episodes.  Just the thing to counter the "designed to be binge-watched" countless new series coming out.

This retro-fi short film by Laserunicorns deserves a mention just because of The Hoff cameo at the end. Very much designed to look 80's including tape distortion in the video and sound.
