Title: AFL
Post by: Jack Matter on January 03, 2015, 10:47:04 pm
Hey guys,

I'm interested to know if anyone on here is interested in Aussie Rules. If so, I'd love to know who you support and who you think would win the Grand Final this year.

I tend to support the swans, it's hard to say there is just one favourite team for me. I kinda like richmond, hawthorne (a little, and I know, hawthorne and richmond, really?), oh and adeliade, and west coast. Def not melbourne or port adelaide, bogans everywhere.

Didn't really care much for the grand finale last year, decided to go sydney, but oh well. I'll go with them usually, and so for next finale too. I'd like to see how gws comes about later.

Yours truly!

I've been a Port supporter since 03' and love Gavin Wanganeen! :)

Do you participate in Supercoach by any chance?

wow, umh, awkward  :blank:

And no, haven't, fantasy is one of those things I always keep saying I'll do, but I end up not doing it.

You'll have to try it out one day!
Even creating a naturist league through connecting with other people on this forum would be awesome!

But back to serious stuff,
do you honestly think you guys can beat the might power? :P

Our Paddy Ryder draft has sealed our line up and we're ready to take home the flag
WEEEWWWW

What about that Gary Rohan though...  :345678

I'm down for a naturist super coach league. I'm a keen player.

I might set one up when the season starts and I'll put the league code up here :)

He's your weak link.

Also, not a fan of the malceski.
But other than that
You guys have one of the most complete lineups in recent times.
Will be interesting when port and swans clash heads again....hopefully (for us) buddy doesn't go crazy like he did in the last quarter last time we met
Hahah

Wow, what a grand finale, don't think West Coast bothered to show up to it.

Also, did you guys also have a problem with some of the closer out on full v mark calls?

Yeah it was a disapppointing grand final, seeing as i was barracking for west coast. they just didnt make the most of their opportunities. at one stage it was 9.3 to 3.9 . accuracy wins grand finals.

there were some controversial calls but i dont think they wouldve impacted the result as much.

being a cats supporter, i cant stand the hawks being three-peat premiers.

That's OK Richard, we all make mistakes sometimes

I'm a Cats supporter... It was fun to be on the top for a while, but I've been enjoying seeing the next generation of players coming through over the last few years.

Yeah it's always good to watch the ups and downs of your team, always hoping that this year will be better than the last.  Can't get much worse for us.

Well hopefully once the CAS result comes out, one way or the other that will be the end of it and everyone can just move on. Can't be much fun watching your team wondering whether the rug is going to be pulled out from under them.

Yeah, especially having been proud in the past of how our team seemed to really care about their players, and then this happened.  Really sad.  Must say I really haven't paid attention to the football for a couple of years now.

Well that result must hurt.

2016 may not see much success for you guys, but on the more positive side, it will likely mean that your recent early draft picks like Darcy Parish and Aaron Francis get an extended run in the team and the chance for some less established names to take on more responsibility.

A fresh start in 2017 is at least a clear light at the end of the tunnel now.

Yeah mate, I guess the hope the hope is that with this decision all of this issue can be over, although I saw something online suggesting the players should sue the club, which could just mean that things continue on, will have to wait and see.  Every cloud has a silver lining, and hopefuly some good will come out of it all.
