Title: A message from Hector Martinez and YouTube Censorship. Petition to fight.
Post by: Rockingnature on May 18, 2020, 03:16:31 am
Hey everyone. I guess that some of us already know, that one of naturism/nudism's' biggest ambassador in YouTube, and current president of the Mexican Nudist Federation, Hector Martinez's YouTube channel was taken down, this past weekend. Hector posted the following video, on his alternative channel, addressing the international naturist community.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYk07huJgfU

Below, I've attached the petition to take-on YouTube, so if you all want to sign and fight the cause.

I hope you all can take the time to fill it out and see if we can change, or at least, make YouTube aware that there is a big difference between sexual content and the promotion and education of alternative lifestyles, like naturism.

Signed. We gotta support influential naturists who do so much good in bringing positive nude awareness and education to the world.

I don't have particular faith in Change.org petitions, but signing this is vastly better than doing nothing. Here's hoping this one get's taken a little more seriously than others have in the past.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I have certainly signed the petition, and shared his post on FB.

Signed. What a shame. I am sure Hector was pretty accurate concerning the Youtube guidelines about nudity.

Vimeo is fine, but not to compare with the popularity of Youtube. As far as I remember, Hector had more than 1 Million subscribers (true?).

He has made such a good work, I hope he will find other ways to spread the word.

Cool. My naturist organisation actually have a zoom call with him tomorrow evening with him about it. Should be very interesting to hear his updates.

Oh no! I was really enjoying his videos and he really seems like a new young voice for naturism. I was sure that since he put his videos on age restriction that he wasn't going to get deleted since his account was up for years. I guess since it's YouTube, nudity videos are a matter of when they'll get deleted.

Yeah Change.org is pretty dumb. I'm sure that not one has ever changed anything. I remember when the whole internet actually got over a million signatures to deport Justin Beiber years ago. Of course all that happened was that it was immediately thrown in the trash, proving how worthless change.org is.

I'm sorry to see Hector banned from YouTube, but I really don't think that YouTube will do anything to make things right. With that being said, let's hope YouTube does the right thing and reinstates his channel.

Well change.org is just a petition site; obviously it doesn't have any power to actually change anything. So whether or not it's effective depends entirely on whether the ones being petitioned care what people think, and if so, if they agree to the suggested course of action. That's not the fault of the site, but a limitation inherent to petitions in general.

I honestly doubt they will, they seem to have a thing for never going back on a decision.

Youtube has to "look good" for it's sponsors. Notable nudity would bring attention that they think would scare off said sponsors, therefore, the tits and dicks that aren't marked properly (like on ToplessTopics' channel) or are marked properly, but are too prominent (like all the other nudist channels y'all love so dearly) gotta go!

It fucking sucks, because you can still find weird ass foreign porn movies and like, "at home birthing" videos and shit like that if you dig deep enough, so it's not fair that all that stuff gets to stay, but the more wholesome shit gets cut.
