Do you think that celebrities like Justin Bieber having their naked photos leaked in the media is a good thing?
Does it help nudists that celebs are seen nude? Normalises it
-
I don't think most of em are a good thing. At best they are just publicity stunts (tinfoil hat territory maybe) and worst gross invasions of privacy. Most are sexualized. I don't think it brings a positive commentary about nudism/naturism, or a commentary about it at all really.
The only positive one I can think of is maybe the Orlando Bloom one that happend recently with him paddle boarding.

I agree with this. It all depends on the context of the photos. Most leaked nude celeb photos are private, intimate, and/or sexual ones that they didn't want to get out. Those are an invasion of privacy and do not help naturism. The one of Orlando Bloom however was him being out in public, enjoying being nude and that is a wonderful example of nudism that the world should see.
-
It's always turned into sexual scams, so no sadly. Now if a celebrity who was actual a,nudist had some leaked, it would probably be different
-
I think it depends. If it's leaked it's obviously not voluntary and shouldn't be public, but like with Orlando Bloom (he did not seem to care at all and were relaxed about it) and when they're naked in movies; I believe that to be a great thing.
-
I think it normalizes it
-
I wonder how many that claimed to be leaked were sent out on purpose by the one in the pictures.
-
I think specifically of the recent photos of Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom both enjoying some skinny dipping, mostly I feel sad for them. Nudity is something they obviously enjoy and feel is natural, but because of their celebrity they aren't given a moment of privacy to relax and unwind in the nude, something I think most of us in this forum also enjoy!
That said, a positive upside to this is the exposure it gives to people who may have never known nudism was a thing, or who thought the only people who practiced were hippies or perverts (an unfortunately common misconception). As sad as it is, the tide of public opinion seems to only shift things from "outside the norm" to being "normal" when the public starts to associate celebrities with that thing.
-
I think its worth remembering how wed feel about people taking pictures of us practising naturism. Wed be mad and most likely take it to the police. Why is it then acceptable in society to invade celebs privacy and taoe pictures of them, even if they are genuine nudies?
-
I think it would normalize it if they released them willingly but in this case it almost makes things worse. Most celeb pics are sexualized selfies meant for someone in particular, or clearly taken without consent. If anything that makes people less willing to strip off in public.
-
If they don't want them out there, they shouldn't be out there.
-
Ok, what is the first thing that enters your mind when you see the pic?
He's obviously confident naked which is a good thing!
Are there any celebs that have talked about being a nudist?
Does anyone know

Miley Cyrus said she'd live in a nudist Colony if she wasn't a celebrity
-
I think Justin Bieber is pretty cool, especially now! (not really his teen years :laughing ) Plus he is Pro-Life.
Here is Orlando Bloom.

I think ALL unsolicited photos of celebrities are gross invasions of privacy.
They're just people. They should be able to live their lives in relative peace.
Great answer... I Agree entirely
-
I Think if it the person posting them theirselves it is good for naturism, but if it is just a publicity stunt, or posting of others, then no it shouldn't be done...
That Said if more celebs did it, it would make naturism more in the media and promote it...

Well , I don't think it's gonna change the world's thought about nudism but to me it's still just a body :p .

I do agree people definitely follow celebrities and want to be celebrities but ultimately people are afraid to be naked(Which they shouldn't be!), celebs won't change much.

"X-Men star Famke Janssen wasn't embarrassed when she saw co-star SIR Ian McKellen naked, because she grew up in a family that regularly attends nude camps. The beautiful brunette star was raised in liberal Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and is quite comfortable with her sexuality. Janssen was filming X-MEN:THE LAST STAND in Vancouver, Canada, and decided to do some sightseeing when she unexpectedly ran into her naked co-star. She explains, "Somebody told me about this beach I should go check out, so I went with a friend. "I get there and it happens to be a nude beach and the first person I bump into is Sir Ian MCKellen, flopping in the wind. "It's not strange for me so much. I'm Dutch and my family, they're a little weird - they go to nude camps a lot. "Then they go play tennis naked, or go bowling naked or do yoga naked. Some things need to be left to the imagination!"
Contactmusic"
Famke Janssen seems to have grown up in a Naturist family, but she makes it out to seem "weird" with that last line of the quote.

while i dont think anyone should have their photos posted if they dont want to (clothed or nude) as everyone should have their right to privacy, i think the more nudity becomes normal in general the less people will care about that aspect of it. with celebrities we all can't help being very curious because we think we know them so well already from music, films etc ...
