Post by: Danee on December 29, 2012, 02:49:47 am
Ed: Judging from our various polls in the Dorm, we do have as part of our community gays and that is the same as any community.  However, this place does promote to all and it sounds awesome!

Mike and Peter write: New Zealand is a wonderful country to visit over the summer months from November through to March. New Zealand has many naturist clubs, retreats, B&Bs and ‘free’ beaches, but few are for gay men.
I think people tend to overlook the fact that gay men can be naturists as well. Some gay men don’t mind attending mixed naturist clubs, but for many the thought of undressing with women present puts them out of their comfort zone and so don’t attend.
In New Zealand, a lot of the naturist clubs discourage membership to single males because they don’t want the balance of men and women to sway towards too many men and not enough women, especially if a lot of the men happen to be gay.
There is a myth that so called ‘gay male naturists’ are nothing more than exhibitionists and only have sex on their minds. I can tell you that there is such a thing as gay male naturists who, like heterosexual nudists, enjoy the freedoms of naturism for the same reasons.
My partner and I have been nudists for many years now and have recently opened a clothing optional mens bed and breakfast in the tourist town of Rotorua, New Zealand. Although we are called ‘Guysers Gaystay’ we welcome straight males as well. We don’t turn anyone down actually. A few weeks ago we accommodated two lesbians traveling with their male friend who said they booked with us because they wanted to stay with ‘family’, which I thought was nice. The name ‘Guysers’ is of course a play on the word ‘Geyser’ because Rotorua is the thermal capital of New Zealand and has many examples of geysers, mud pools, steaming fumaroles and volcanoes. Our B&B is only the size of a regular house, but we can sleep up to 5 guests and we have a comfortable lounge and dining area and outdoors we have a fabulous hydrotherapy spa pool, deck chairs and sunloungers and a pretty garden which we are establishing. Our property is north facing and is private and sheltered from any breeze, perfect for relaxing naked outdoors with a book and a glass of New Zealand wine.Rotorua has a very comfortable climate and unlike many coastal regions of New Zealand, we experience far less wind. In winter time Rotorua usually experiences clear frosty mornings (but not snow) usually becoming fine by the afternoon. Perhaps not warm enough to be naked outdoors (although we do get the odd rouge day), but our B&B is lovely and warm indoors and the spa pool is always hot and relaxing. We often take our guests to a thermal hot water river that is known by locals as a popular skinny dipping river, especially in the early evening.
So, if you are gay male, or are just gay-friendly and are planning a holiday in New Zealand, we welcome you to our clothing optional B&B, Guysers Gaystay in Rotorua.
Check out our website for more information and a comprehensive list of tourist attractions, events, restaurants, bars and other places to go clothes free.
