Title: Favorite Movie???
Post by: Ace001 on May 30, 2010, 08:30:15 am
As I sit here doing my last bit of work for today, I'm also watching my favorite movie. Now this got me thinking, what's everyone's favorite movie/movies!? Now I don't want to make an overbearing list from the get go, but I will say that this movie is definitely in my top favorite, if not my all time favorite. This movie is: *drum roll*

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory!

"There is no life I know ,to compare with pure imagination" (*^o^*)

So everyone, what are your favorites?

Yah which version, granted I do like both versions though, but for different reasons.

I do have many movies that I really like.  I have to say that some of my favorite movies include, 2001: A Space Odessey, Dune(original), Last Emperior, 7 years in Tibet, Shawshake Redemption, and well depends on my mood, lol

The old one. The new one is called Charlie and the Chocolate factory and I refuse to see it. Depp looks terrifying in the movie and it just looks overall creepy. Plus I doubt they could recreate the magical feeling of the first one.

Having just seen it, I would have to say Inception.  That movie blew my mind away.

Choose only one?

Tough job, but it would be Lost in Translation, by Sofia Coppola:

I didn't know what everyone was going on about with Lost In Translation :76 Didn't grab me at all. I'm a pretty big geek, so Star Trek and Star Wars films, basically most stuff involving shiny lasers and I'm settled as long as the acting's decent and the story's not terrible!

:3145 i think the question of my favourite movie is a bit of an impossible question for me as some moves I think you just can’t compare. However inception is defiantly up there with the greats.

If it's not pleasant to watch, why do you watch it?

Because some things are more important than pleasure.

Dan, there are plenty films that are not pleasant to watch that are successful. If someone had said Schindler's List or Saving Private Ryan, two films that are anything but easy or pleasant to watch, would you have questioned it?

Yes. I don't see why I wouldn't ask for clarification about other movies.

With a storyline it most definitely is Disney's The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

Without a storyline (and this is my most favourite film) is Baraka.

Blade runner, directors cut. It's just a little better than my second favourite movie "Ghost in the shell"(1995). I didn't like the sequel so much.

Wouldn't call it my favourite but just saw The Master Of Ballantrae the other day. That, is a 5 star film for plot! If anyone's seen it, who's the main character?

Looked like it was made around the time of the first Stars Wars movies but even then, it was pretty was made.
