Seems like they have gone for shock value and gratuity quite a lot. That wayde guy is cute though.

Being fake and staged does sound par for the course since the producers said that they were inspired by "The Jersey Shore" to create the show. That means casting lots of drama queens/kings and putting them in contrived situations to make them scream and fight.
A while back I remember reading about a contestant who left the show crying because producers wanted them to urinate on camera in front of each other and hit each other in the face during the first few days of the shoot.
The whole thing with the guy saying that he won't sleep in the same room with a gay guy was probably engineered. During the audition process the producers probably deliberately looked for a homophobe and for a gay man so that they could assign them to room together and watch the drama ensue.
Them even having to be naked while working at Caliente isn't real. I've been there a few times and the staff wears clothes while they are on the clock; that's how you tell them apart from the other guests. I saw their casting notice and even watched their casting call, which was broadcast over the web. They deliberately screened out nudists since they were going for a fish out of water uncomfortable situation. It was mentioned in their casting call that they didn't want anybody with experience at nudist resorts or nude beaches.

the idea of the show sounds really cool.
the reality of watching the clip seems like another terrible MTV type fake "reality" show that is 100% staged....even though i guess thats what reality tv is these days

Reality show are always fake. But the retouch of female breasts and genital area to make this show ridiculous. The idea is good, the execution is bad.

I like the fact that the last clip even has a bartender from the resort FULLY CLOTHED. It's really indicative of how contrived the situation in the show is.

I could probably watch this show and be entertained but :324 CLEARLY this isn't nudism and these people are not typical of nudists.

It really is terrible though. And I hate watching anything that has nudity blurred out. If they're going to do a show with naked people and aren't allowed to show any nudity, then they probably shouldn't do it. Watching something with half the screen all blurry is fucking annoying. And I hate reality shows in general.

I agree with most of you guys on here: this television show paints nudism in a very negative light. Like all "reality" television, it sensationalizes everything and manufactures drama, but I'm still rather disappointed.

i have to say, his blog is funny to read and quite honest (...as well as all the boobs...) as far as i can see ;)
but doesnt change my opinion about the show: it paints nudism in a real bad way at least those guys do ... or just the scripts i dont know
And whats about that "CALIENTE RESORT" ? Has anybody been there and can tell something about it? Is it that bad as the Homepage sells it or am i just such an pessimist when it comes down to Caliente ... ?! :345

I've been to Caliente before and it's a really nice luxury resort. They have hosted swingers events, on occasion, but I think "so what." Textile hotels and resorts host swinger events and nobody rakes them over the coals for it.

You're probably right, never looked at it that way maybe i am just to stubborn when it comes down to naturism and the possibility it could get "dirty" (hope u guys get the meaning ;) )
I think "So what" is a good attitude for me do start with ... !!! ;)

So true - let's make a reality show about nudity.... and remove all the nudity.

It goes without saying that the nudist lifestyle needs shows that do cast it in a good light. So far, any shows that I've seen on television are either treating the nude life like it's filled with freaks, only about sex or a big joke. They give people an unrealistic view into it which causes them to get an idea based on a lie. Look at Naked and Afraid. It's not realistic. Why would a woman cover her breasts, but not her privates and hindquarters? It's not about reality. It's about ratings. :324
That's how I feel about it. I know that some of these shows do have fans who like them. :345
