Hey guys, I'm just wondering if anybody else listens to metal on a regular basis, if so, what bands do you like and what are some of your favorite songs.
To kick it off I'll go first:
One thing I'm basically obssed with right now is the album Two faced charade by famous last words. It tells this story about a guy with schizophrenia and it's really sell made. The bandveven produced a 30 min short film about it. Google it sometime.
I'm also a huge deatchcore fan, the more fucked up it is, the more I like it. For example, Infant Annihilator is a big favorite.

Hello! I am a Rammstein fan and I love another Industrial metal band, only famous in germany russia and brasil : Eisbrecher.
The song of this two bands are in my opinion unique
and England, i know tons of people here who like them,

I wouldn't consider myself a full-on metalhead, but I like classic metal. I listen to a lot of Iron Maiden, followed by Megadeth and Metallica. Dream Theater is probably my favorite though. :nicethread
-
Mostly symphonic metal and other stuff on the power metal spectrum. Kamelot, Epica, Rhapsody, Blind Guardian, stuff like that.
-
Most definitely (couldn't you tell by the hair? lol)! Among my favorites are HammerFall, DragonForce, Metallica, Megadeth, Lamb of God, Stratovarius, Red, Disciple, Dio, Sonata Arctica, Nightwish...I could go on for quite a while :happy

Yes love a bit metal now and again. Fell out of love with it recently I don't know why
-
Yep
-
Metal is on my list of favorite music styles. I'm a huge fan of Scandinavian metal (Viking Folk metal!). I listen to a lot of other types too, but that's my favorite.
-
I'm not a full on metal head but i've seen Lamb of God, Clutch, Devil Driver in person and then the front bands that always play before the main band.

I'm a big Rammstein fan, and thanks to your post @Romain Ferré , I like Eisbrecher now ! I was curious and I listenned to it - hard to say it's as good as Rammstein but it's a great band anyway ! So thanks for this discovery ! Merci de me l'avoir fait découvrir, ça va m'aider encore un peu plus pour apprendre l'allemand :cheesy:
I'm a big fan of Iron Maiden as well :azn:

Rammstein do know how to put on a show but I must be only one on here who's been to a concert with both Rammstein and Tool as the headline thankfully they were last because I popped some pills to dance my arse off in the DJ tent and needed to recover. So I rocked out hard, to both Rammstein more so Tool is a bit hard to headbang to but I love them anyway. Till Lindemann dressed in some pretty weird stuff and had that thing in his month I loved it so they don't disappoint.

I so want to see Rammstein. Last show they did anywhere near here was at MSG and it sold out in 20 minutes.
-
Indeed I am ! I like classic heavy, NWOBHM, thrash, technical death speed and porwer metal but no Core I hate it so much
-

It's a powermetal band with The singer from Alestorm in it , but in this band he does the keyboards :) .

Been one since I was about 12? Favourite band ev4 is the Misfits tho.
-
Yes I am a metalhead. Love getting to as many concerts as I can
-
I love heavy metal. My favorite genres will probably be black metal (atmospheric kind especially) and I really love funeral doom metal.
-
Listen to all kinds of metal but mainly death and black metal. Lots of great metal from Sweden and Norway. Some great metal from other parts of the world too of course, love Deicide for example.
-
I'm not a huge metalhead, but I like a handful of metal bands. In particular, I'm a fan of Ghost, Disturbed, Metallica, System Of A Down, Tool, and Slipknot. Weirdly, though, I don't like most other artists. I don't like Megadeth or Slayer despite liking Metallica, for example. I guess I'm just picky

Excellent choices, Tiberius. I'm in the same boat. Can get down to some Tool, Slipknot, etc.. but was never able to get into bands like Slayer and Megadeth.
Still, I loves me some melodic metal. Nightwish. Kamelot. Epica. Or even some of the harder stuff from Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, Insomnium, etc..

Kamelot, dope! The melodic stuff is awesome, some much better metal/rock coming out of Europe as opposed to the states, imo.

The good old European country of Florida, yes. But seriously, Kamelot's style is a lot more like European power metal than other American power metal bands, and Roy Khan, a Norwegian, was the best thing that could happen to them. And Nightwish (Finland) and Epica (Netherlands) are obviously actually European.

Hahaha, got me on Kamelot but hey, the previous lead singer is from Europe! More so though, I meant that the Euro Power Metal coming out now, and heck, metal and rock bands out of Eurpose are better than most of the junk coming out of the states.

I wouldn't say I'm a metalhead but my interest in it has been growing this last year or so. I've liked a few songs before that, especially Nightwish and some by Within Temptation, but I'm still mostly into symphonic metal though I have listened to other styles a bit too.
Quite like Theocracy, and Leah McHenry too, if anyone knows who they are.
Check my username.

It varies lol. Mostly in the death metal area but also some black metal and progressive, maybe a little bit of metalcore(?)

Forgot about this thread. I'm missing concerts big time.
I so want to see Rammstein. Last show they did anywhere near here was at MSG and it sold out in 20 minutes.
So I was set to see them in September in their first stadium tour in the U.S. And a :censored plague breaks out. Oh well, at least they seem committed to coming back next yea.
