Title: Did you (or your someone in your family) had any 8-bit computer?
Post by: bolodepan on October 17, 2017, 08:44:19 am
The 8-bit computer were popular in Europe in the 80's. Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, MSX and Commodore 64 were the most sold, and some parents bought them to their children because they could be used for homework, but the reality was that they become a like video game console in the most part of homes.

Have youe ver tried one of them? Do you remeber any game specially?

I had a Commodore PET (Personal Electronic Transactor)
It played the best version of Space Invaders you could get.

Never heard about it, I'll check it out!

I'm sure that you knew people that own a Sinclair's ZX Spectrum because it was very popular in UK  :happy and in Spain too. I had one that my cousin gave me in the 90's.

Aw man.  I remember the 90's.  Using Windows 98 SE.   Geeking out to my friends going:

"Dude! That PC has a Pentium II 450 mHz processor!"   Back when 64gigs of HDD space was considered positively cavernous.  Man..  I'm old.

Dunno what my first one was. Was a dos prompt box and you had to restart every time you decided to run a different program from the 5” floppies.

We had Apple’s at my elementary school but not sure which model. Was just a little kid. Played them a lot due to my grandma being a school teacher.

Oh Oregon Trail flashbacks.
