Have any of you played Mario kart? Its one of my favorite games, if you have played what are your guys’s and girls’s favorite tracks? Mine is rainbow road because of its difficulty and overall look.

I hope you are joking... I think most people love the game, I do!

Hey not everyone has a Nintendo console, I wanna be inclusive :3

Yeah, I love Mario Kart. I don't play it very often because the only version I have is for the DS Lite and I don't have a Switch but it's such a good game. It was the best thing about the end of term in Primary School, because we could all bring in DS's and just play Mario Kart tournaments all day

Sounds fun! Only a handful of my friends actually enjoy playing it so I don’t play it as often but when we get together we have a great old time!

Rainbow road is my fave and I always like to be Yoshi. And I’m talking about N64 version in particular, although I like rainbow road for all of them
-
Used to play it a bunch. I used to play the wii version, and didn’t have a favorite track but had favorite cups. I liked the lightning, star, and special cups. I like to play as toad.
-
I've played every Mario Kart since the one that came out for the Nintendo DS, and always play as Yoshi or Luigi! I don't know why I probably just like green.
Don't think I've ever had a run on Rainbow Road without falling off the track :laughcrying: my favorite track in the newest game is Hyrule Circuit since I love the atmosphere and scenery, my favorite track of all time is Yoshi Falls!
-
i grew up on mario kart 7 (3ds) and 8 (wii u), but in just 4 months i've made more progress on 100% completion than i ever have before. although smart steering to do so feels like cheating

This is mostly nostalgia but I adore grumble volcano

SNES? I had no idea Mario Kart was that old. I know Mario itself is.

Mario predates the SNES. It goes back to the NES. Mario kart came around on the SNES which means it's slightly younger than super mario.

Yeah, have a Mario game for NES unfortunately the NES doesn’t want to work

Mario predates the NES. He was on arcades (starting with Donkey Kong) and Game&Watch. Those games had little to do with the Mario games we now know, though.
Super Mario Kart was pretty much invented to show off the depth effects the SNES can do.

Right. When I said super mario I meant his most famous title on the NES. The modern franchise not the character.

mario predates the arcades and game&watch. all throughout history, mario has been there, essential to every important event to ever happen. mario is the arbiter of all life. mario is the guardian of the universe

There is actually a bit of truth to that. Mario was watching whether Nintendo of America could pay the bills at least, because the guy that the character was named after was their landlord. Kirby is named after their lawyer, by the way.

I thought Luigi was named after the landlord not Mario?

1. Mario was created by Shigeru Miyamoto and appeared in the game designer's first ever title, the 1981 arcade platformer, Donkey Kong. Miyamoto was hired as a graphic artist by Nintendo in 1977, and was given the task of designing a game after several of the company's early coin-ops had failed to make an impression on the lucrative arcade market. Donkey Kong was created using the hardware behind an older arcade title named Radar Scope, which sunk without a trace in the US. Miyamoto ditched the shooting theme and added an ape and rolling barrels. Success naturally followed.
2. Mario was originally known as Jumpman. However, when Nintendo's US office were trying to think of a better name in time for the American release of the game, they were interrupted by their landlord Mario Segale, after whom they christened the character.

I own and love every version of Mario Kart. The only one I have not beaten entirely is the one where they actually force you to use the motorcycles. I am no good with those things. I just can't recall which version of it that was. I think the most recent was really the best version for racing with some really great tracks, but for battles nothing has come close to the N64 version.
-
Honestly I used to love that game series. Haven’t played it forever, and I sucked at it, but it was always fun lol
