Note that "value" is one of the considerations, so that kind of implies, "If you were going to spend your own money..."
So, rather than ultimate dream car, think more in terms of "real life sensible favorite car brand."
Notwithstanding the previous sentence, here are some premium brands you may pick from if the ones in the poll weren't up to your standards:
Cadillac (General Motors luxury brand)
Infiniti (Nissan luxury brand)
Jaguar
Lancia (Fiat)
Lexus (Toyota luxury brand)
Lincoln (Ford luxury brand)
Porsche
Saab
Volvo
Apologies if I've already done a poll like this.
EDIT: Well, it was a year ago: Favorite Automotive Brand (http://internationalyn.org/forum/index.php/topic,1980.0.html) :23456

I think Jeep is on a short list of automobile companies that have a loyal following so extensive. My hometown has a Jeep club! Mine was declared a total loss two weeks ago (thanks to the driver that had been drinking and pulled out in front of me and fled the scene). I'm searching for a new one as we speak! As for the fact that Jeep is a Fiat company, this is false. Jeep, as well as Fiat, Dodge, Chrysler, Mopar, Mercedes-Benz and others, are companies within the Daimler corporation. For all the rest of you Jeep-lovers out there, don't worry, we know, "it's a Jeep thing!"

ONLY 2 OPTIONS!!! That was hard for me but I narrowed it down to Audi and Nissan. Im a huge German car fan so naturally I voted Audi but since their part of the same company, I also like Volkswagen. The GTI is probably one of my favorite cars out there. I also voted for Nissan(and Infiniti) since I've owned a Nissan Maxima and LOVED that car. I think Nissan/Infiniti have some of the best styiling out there, both interior and exterior. Besides those, I like Toyota(older cars), Subaru, Lexus, Mini, Seat(Cupra line...BRING TO AMERICA), ...and cant think of any else.

where is aston maritn :234567
i voted for BMW and Mercedes-Benz

Aston Martin's are very nice styled cars. Not to over the top. I also forgot to mention the Morgan Aero Super Sports (Not sure if that the correct name). It's a hand built car made to look like the older style Morgan's.

Yes, that was rather rude of me to limit it to two options!
I love the Nissan Maxima, but I despise some of Nissan's other vehicles such as the Juke and Cube.
Audi is one of my faves. Aston Martins are beautiful, but if I had that kind of money, I'd buy a Porsche 911.
-
Sorry I tried, but I cannot in good conscience vote for any four wheeled motorized vehicle.
My votes goes for Triumph Motorcycles! :2345
edit: Obviously I'm fairly consistent on that point since last year's poll.............

So many manufactures missing from this list....
But Austin/MG Rover/British Leyland and Jaguar

Packard.

Volkswagen, hands down. That is mostly because of their TDI models. Those engines are extremely durable, efficient, and have unparalleled longevity. Not to mention, the styling on these cars is just nice, sleek, simplistic and yet, beautiful. I will always be a fan of them, especially the diesel models. Nothing will ever beat them.

Volkswagen - is the most functional, reliable, thanks to the TDI engines that are awesome. The construction is also of high quality. Best quality for money
Alfa Romeo - the most stylist, vanish and temperamental car you can have for an affordable price. Excellent design, unique interiors and is a real passion to drive them. And now with better and more trustful engines.
Aston Martin - is just the cherry on the Top of it; are unnecessary any words to describe that the "good all times" never went away in which concerns this brand.

The only bad part is that when a Volkswagen breaks down.. the repair cost is enormous!(I know this from several people) The cars are high quality but when your on a budget the repair costs unfortunately outweigh the car. I've been through the buying process and wound up not buying a VW at the time. On the other hand, I know many people who have only had VWs and have had 0 problems, just normal maintenance.

Great Scott.
only
DeLorean DMC 12. No more needs to be said

Do you like the Tacoma? Ive always wanted a Tacoma or 4runner.
-
I do.
However the V6 is not cheap to run (not especially efficient) and it's not got a lot of towing capacity - my 14 foot camper is pretty much the max it could handle.
I bought the SR5 package so all I had to add (for my own needs) was a trailer hitch.
And of course to do it right it needs a few things: Lift kit, new rubber, ARB bumper and winch etc...

Ford all the way. I work on a farm, and we uss two vehicle types: John Deere and Ford. Partly because my boss used to own both a Ford dealership and a John Deere dealership

Ownjng a dealership definetly plays a role in what car you own. Especially when you can get one for next to nothing.

Have found the car of my dreams online she reasonable but alass cannot drive so she will not be coming back from USA to her UK home.

My apologies, but I disagree.
VW styling is completely boring and the quality over estimated.
Have a look to a VW after a couple of years in service and see how used it looks compared to other brands of same usage profile.
This brand vehicles are to expencive for what quality they offer.

I voted for Ford and Mercedes.
Ford, as it came out of the financial crisis with out US gouvernement help and Mercedes, because I like the star on the bonnet.
