I am curious on what her understanding of love and god are as that is the source of this expression of love. I am probably more willing to dissect and learn of her meaning behind all of it than most. I am guessing that she has this info on her blog?

What a great video ty for sharing lovely to see the younger generation enjoying naturism as well.

Love it!! Only in San Francisco lol
Fair play to her kids for getting involved

Huh. I didn't realize she had kids. Good on her getting them involved from a young age.

Good for you, skinnydipper2. I must have seen you, as I saw both the last two parade vids. Are some of the kids in the vids Gypsy's children? Either way, glad to see these young people proclaiming body freedom.
The psychedelic stuff in her overall message conflates with the body freedom message. Wonder if she would be more effective if she kept the two separate. Body freedom is definitely a local issue, and can be influenced at the local level. Drug policy (as in legalizing psychedelics) is a federal (mostly) and state (a very little) issue. Local governments have very little influence on drug policy.
And the videos are no longer visible on Gypsy's site. Do you know why?

What a powerful message. I’ve always wanted to check out this parade in San Francisco. Definitely on my bucket list.

So, I have followed Gypsy and her Body Freedom work for some time now. She is a very courageous soul. I was in San Francisco for a meeting earlier this week, and out of curiosity, I cycled over to Jane Warner Plaza (where her parades start). I thought it would be a park or something, but it is not. It is the corner of a gas station-- what you see behind Gypsy in the video is the entire thing! I was surprised, and thought it was kind of funny, not that it matters one jot in regards to her important advocacy.

Sometimes the parade is fun and other times it isn’t the best. Parade numbers are down ever since she started adding the psychedelic stuff to the parade. I’m all for doing whatever you want to your own body as long as you don’t affect others negatively. However, since she decided to go this route, most of the naturists have been discouraged from going. Now there are more uneducated hippies attending, and that doesn’t shine a positive light on nudity for the general public.
What I would like is someone else running the events and encouraging more nudists from the local resorts. I might give it a try later down the road when my career is established more. For the time being, we are settling with the frantic style of Gypsy.

Thanks for the insight, Skinnydipper2. While I have not participated in one of the parades, having seen the videos, and as I said in an earlier post, the psychedelic stuff and giant conspiracy theories was off-putting. And acccording to you, it appears to be counterproductive. Not surprising. Maybe you and some of the other younger participants could begin steering it into a more positive naturist direction and advocate simply for body freedom-- which is, after all, something the local government can do something about.
