If I were them, I'd certainly attempt to have more fun at the ending.

Yeah, strange and funny lol!!
I've never had an experience like that ever. My first time the other kids just took off their clothes and jumped in the river. I was odd guy out.... We had a blast that day, really wish it could always be that easy all the time. It was a lot of fun, and felt great. Think I'd actually feel really weird talking about doing it like that myself. Just do it ya no?
