Hello fellow naturists, you wonderful people! I've been a naturist since my teens, but really began embracing the lifestyle over the past few years. I've been to a couple of clubs/ naturist friendly venues and have enjoyed them for the most part.

I've found the age differences at these clubs to be more challenging to deal with sometimes than I had hoped. So I'm excited to have found a group around my own age here! I look forward to getting to know you all.

Feel free to ask any questions and thanks for having me aboard. (It's a nice birthday present to be introducing myself today!)

Hi welcome and happy birthday

Shiden Kai San

Welcome!   Glad you've already been able to experience a few naturist destinations!

You know, it's weird.  When I was your age, I actually had a much easier time socializing with strangers at resorts.  The people saw a new face, noted my youth, and would go out of their way to say hello and to make me feel welcomed.   Now?  Nobody says a word unless I do first. haha.

Anyway, hopefully you make friends around your own age group while here!

Yeah, there has certainly been a change. Or I'm just tuned into the attitude differences now. There certainly were a handful of older folks that welcomed me with open arms and are now cherished friends.

The majority though have not been like this. I've watched as they tried to slander other younger people to try and get them removed, resurrected lies from the 1980s regarding LGBT individuals, and otherwise committed to policies that discourage new members. It seems that there was a significant cohort that is determined to make the place their retirement country club and not a club for all members; almost like they're perfectly fine if the place dies along with them.

Anywho, I digress. I'm happy to be here! 😊

@mountainbare  -  Aw man!  That's so sad to hear.  I've never been to one of those smaller resorts before.  I've heard that attitudes can get like that at some places.   I'm just happy that a handful of people gave you a shot!

Oh

Yup - clubs with that attitude run out of energy and money. The members tend to be *be polite self* errr umm ultra-conservative/reactionary/(t)Rumpers who as they get buried the place gets sold and becomes a textile campground. Look at it this way @mountainbare, you've seen the worst of social nudism. When you've seen the worst attitudes it can only get better. Oh, and welcome. Hope you had a fun birthday in  your birthday suit.

Thanks for the support and welcome, everyone! I appreciate it

And, yeah, Topher. You're not wrong... Several have left after we've began pushing back against that attitude. But there's still a lot holding the club back from what it could be.
