La Jenny — France

I really look forward to going to La Jenny in France next week! It'll be my first holiday in a naturist resort and I will be able to enjoy a naturist holiday with surfing. What do I want more! :-)

Let me write this long overdue report!

In short: It was like in paradise!

In august my girlfriend and my went on a late summer holiday to La Jenny for 11 days. We wanted to combine our surf holiday with a naturist holiday and I wanted giving a naturist retreat in France a first try, since I had heard so many good things. The west coast of France is well known for its waves and surf-event and my girlfriend had been to places near Biarritz and Hossegor many times before. So I took my copy of Bare Beaches and searched the internet for the best locations for a naturist surfing holiday.

I think we had 4 candidates on our list

* La Jenny
* Arnaoutchot, or simply Arna
* Euronat
* Montalivet

We decided to go to La Jenny because of the wave forecast, the look of their chalets and the price. And it was a very good choice!

The retreat is situated in a wonderful and serene pine forest behind an immense sand dune which separates the wood from the ocean. La Jenny looks exactly as depicted in the images on their website. The little chalets are lovely and many of them are beautifully painted in different colors. One of the first things we did after arriving in La Jenny, was to rent some bikes to go to beach and to move around in the retreat.
We went jogging first thing every morning, had breakfast and went to the beach for some surf. It was a joy beyond words being able to do everything without having to wear clothes ... anytime ... anyplace. The beach is unbelievably long and you can go walking for hours. When the tide is low is looks exactly like in Jock Sturges photographs. In fact, many of Jock Sturges' works where taken in that region of France and even in La Jenny itself.

Before going to France I thought surfing was one the best things you can do. Now I know that there's one thing that's far better: surfing naked! :-) We had a really good and relaxing holiday and we know for sure that we will be going back to La Jenny, hopefully next year and then for more than only 11 days.

Sounds like a dream! I have looked at la jenny and other west coast resorts in france for the same reasons, surf and naturism. I just need to save up the cash!

wow sounds great, where there many people surfin nude there when u went?

no, because the water wasn't too warm. I was the only one to surf nude and only for a short time, but it was definitely the best experience I've ever had.

ah ok hah yeh cold water definitely wouldnt go well, they used to have a nude surfin competition at bondi where i grew up in Sydney, only time seen nude surfing thou! hah
