November 12, 2010Anne Hathaway embraces nude scenes in new movieAnne Hathaway turned down a nudity contract before filming sex scenes for her new movie Love and Other Drugs because she didn't want strict rules to interfere with her performance.According to World Entertainment News Network: The actress' free-spirited and confident character strips off frequently while romping with her co-star Jake Gyllenhaal in the film. And while Hathaway admits she was terrified about baring all on the big screen, she opted to waive the standard nudity agreement she was offered, which would have allowed her to dictate what can and can't be shown. She tells Britain's Elle magazine, "I decided I didn't want to be doing these scenes and thinking, 'Oh, I can only turn my body 36 degrees, because we'll be breaking contract." But Hathaway insists she is beginning to put aside her body insecurities and embrace her shape. She adds: "I've hit the point in my life where I understand that being skinny is not sustainable, and nor is it advisable, and nor is it enjoyable."
Love and Other Drugs is an upcoming* 2010 comedy-drama film directed by Edward Zwick, based on the non-fiction title Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman written by Jamie Reidy. This film is Zwick's second film in comedy-drama genre, the first being About Last Night.... It stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway.
She's been nude on screen before. I can't remember the name of the movie, but it's always on IFC and it's about her and "cholos" (Mexican gangsters).
I love the quote about skinny not being advisable, enjoyable, or sustainable.
